KIT YING POND Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Thursday, March 1, 2001, at the Victoria General Hospital, Kit Ying Pond passed away at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Yukwoo. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Kitty, William (Carol), Ben (Christina), John and Andrew (Betty) grandchildren, Daisy, Ian, Candace, Daniel and Esther. The family wishes to thank all the staff and nurses at the Victoria General Hospital, especially the MRU Ward for their kind and compassionate care of Mom. Funeral services will be held at the Winnipeg Chinese Alliance Church, 261 Colony St. on Sunday, March 4. Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:30 p.m. The service will terminate at the church and cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Chinese Alliance Church, Missionary Fund or to the Victoria General Hospital, MRU Ward. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
